The Arab House
Open: Monday to Sunday from 9:30 am to 6:30 pm.
An exhibit of jewelry, carpets and other objects. A small mosque provides religious services.

 

Archeology office
Open Tuesday to Saturday from 10:30 am to 5 pm; Sunday from 9 am to 1 pm. Halls with Cuban and South American aboriginal archeological findings, including important Peruvian pieces. Colonial archeology from Old Havana and findings from the Bay of Havana. Library and screening of videocassettes.

 

The Blue Ferret
Open: Tuesday to Saturday from 9 am to noon and from 1pm to 5pm; Sunday from 9am to 1pm. Home of the prominent Cuban painter Carlos Henríquez. The exhibit of his paintings, documents and personal belongings.

 

Carmen Montilla House
Open: Monday to Saturday, 9am to 5pm; Sunday from 10:30am to 1pm. House-studio-gallery of the Venezuelan painter Carmen Montilla.

 

Castle of the Royal Force
Open: Monday to Sunday from 8am to 7pm. Permanent halls. Cuban fine pottery from the 1940s to the present.

 

Colonial Art Museum
Open: Wednesday to Monday from 10:15am to 5:45pm; Sunday from 9:15am to 12:45pm. Admission: $2 USD. Furniture, stained glass structures, porcelain and different objects from the colonial period. Closed for repairs.

 

Convent of Santa Clara
Open: Monday to Friday from 9am to 3pm. Admission: $1 USD. Tours with interpreter; $2 USD. The oldest cloister for nuns in Havana (17th century), seat of the National Center for Preservation, Restoration and Museology.

 

Cuban Postal Museum
Open: Monday to Friday from 9am to 4pm. Postal and philatelic history. José Antonio Armona’s account book (1765).

 

Decorative Arts Museum
Open: Wednesday to Sunday from 9:30am to 4:45pm. Permanent halls: European and Oriental decorative arts from the 16th to 20th centuries.

 

Historical and Military Park “El Morro-La Cabaña”
Open: daily, from 8am to 10pm. Admission: $3 USD. Military architecture from the 16th to 18th centuries. Weapons museum. Che’s headquarters.

 

Guayasamin House-Foundation
Open: Monday to Saturday from 10:30am to 5pm. Sunday from 10:30am to 1pm. Promotional and sales center for the work of the prominent Ecuadorian painter Oswaldo Guayasamín.

 

Hemingway Museum
Open: Monday to Saturday from 9am to 4pm; Sunday from 9am to 12:30pm. Closed on Tuesday and on rainy days. Admission: $3 USD. From 1939 to 1961 residence of the famous American writer.

 

Historical Museum of Sciences Carlos J. Finlay
Open: Monday to Friday from 8am to 5pm; Saturday from 9am to 3pm. The history of the Academy of Physics, Medical and Natural Sciences of Havana.

 

The House of Africa
Open: Monday to Saturday, 10:30am to 5pm; Sunday from 9:30am to 1pm. Permanent exhibit of sub-Saharan African art. Sculptures, typical clothing and paintings.

 

Jose Marti Memorial
Revolution Square: Tuesday to Saturday, from 10am to 6pm. Sunday from 10am to 2pm. Admission: $5 USD. Phones: 82-0906 and 84-0551. An exhibit on the Apostle’s life and work and the history of the Memorial. Observatory from the highest point in the city.

 

Jose Marti’s Natal House
Open: Tuesday to Saturday from 9am to 5pm; Sunday from 9am to 1pm. Admission: $1 USD. Personal belongings of the National Hero, photographs and documents.

 

Museum of Guanabacoa
Open: Monday to Saturday from 10:30am to 6pm; Sunday from 9am to 1pm. Closed Tuesdays. Admission: $2 USD. Ethnographic and history halls of the territory with the best exhibits in Cuba on the syncretism of the African and Christian religions.

 

Museum of the City
Open: Monday to Sunday from 9:30am to 6:30pm. Admission: $3 USD. Art and history halls of the colonial period and the first years of the republic in an atmosphere of the old Palace of the Governor-General, seat of the Spanish Government from 1791 to 1899.

 

Museum of Regla
Open: Tuesday to Friday from 9am to 6pm; Saturday from 9am to 7pm; Sunday from 9am to 1pm. Admission: $2 USD. Ethnographic and history halls of the territory.

 

Museum of the Revolution
Open: Tuesday from 10am to 6pm. Wednesday to Sunday from 10am to 5pm. Admission: $3 USD. Objects, recordings and films on the highlights of the Cuban fighting tradition.

 

Museum of Sports History
Open: Tuesday to Sunday from 10am to 5pm. Admission: $1 USD. Medals and personal belongings of famous Cuban sportsmen.

 

Napoleonic Museum
Open: Tuesday to Saturday from 11am to 6:30pm; Sunday from 9am to 12:30pm. Admission: $2 USD. Guided tours: $3 USD. Assorted collection of weapons, furniture, clothing and other objects of the Napoleonic period.

 

National Museum of Music
Open: Tuesday to Saturday from 9am to 5pm; Sunday from 8am to 12noon. Admission: $2 USD. Afro-Cuban instruments. Hall with phonographs and music boxes. Records, instruments and music scores.

 

National Museum of Natural History
Open: Monday to Friday from 9am to 3:45pm; Sunday from 10am to 1:45pm. Mammals and shells in beautiful colors, exclusive of Cuba. Flora and fauna from all continents. Cuban wildlife, fossils and minerals. Joint exhibit with the American Museum of Natural History, of New York.

 

Palace of Fine Arts
Open: Thursday to Monday from 10am to 5pm. Admission: $3 USD. Permanent halls of Cuban art including paintings and prints from the 16th to 20th centuries and European art featuring works from Italy, Spain, Flanders, the Netherlands, Germany, England and France, of the 15th to 19th centuries.

 

Scale Model of the City
113 28th Street, between 1st and 3rd, Miramar. Open: Tuesday to Saturday from 10am to 5:30pm. Admission: adults $3 USD; children, students and elderly $1 USD. With an area of 88 square meters, this true to life replica of the city is considered to be the second largest in the world, next to that of New York.

 

Simon Bolivar House
Open: Monday to Saturday from 10:30am to 5pm; Sunday from 10:30am to 1pm. Contemporary Venezuelan and Latin American art including paintings, sculptures and literature.
